For the first time, the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA) held its World Congress in Incheon, South Korea. The location of the event in Northeast Asia was a symbol, according to the WFDSA, of the industry prominence and leadership of Korea.
The event gathered executives, stakeholders, academics, senior policymakers and representatives from Direct Selling Associations from around the world to discuss emerging global trends, workforce development skills and regulatory frameworks. Interactive experience zones featured K-beauty and K-food, allowing attendees to engage directly with Korean culture and products.
K-beauty and wellness company RIMAN served as a Platinum sponsor of the event and created a brand experience on Jeju Island called the RIMAN JEJU EXPERIENCE, designed to deliver firsthand insights into the company’s products and brand philosophy.
“The WFDSA World Congress and RIMAN JEJU EXPERIENCE showcased our proprietary ingredients and R&D capabilities,” said Youngsu Hwang, RIMAN Chief Sales Officer. “We were especially pleased by participants’ positive responses to our product development process and employees’ dedication. We will continue strengthening our global connections and position as a trusted K-beauty brand.”
Utah-based direct selling company 4Life was also in attendance, with 4Life CEO Danny Lee participating on the WFDSA CEO Council to discuss how technology and opportunity will shape the future of direct selling. The company has been a longstanding member of the Korean DSA a member of the WFDSA CEO Council since 2010.
“It’s an honor to carry forward David Lisonbee’s mission with 4Life—as well his passion for executive leadership by participating in this World Congress as a member of the CEO Council,” Lee said.
