Coway Co., Ltd. announced the results of its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives in its recent Coway Sustainability Report for FY 2023.
Coway Co., Ltd. announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2024, reporting a 7% increase in total revenue from the previous year’s quarter. Second quarter 2024 revenue reached $789 million with a gross profit of $154 million.
Coway’s Seoul-based Research & Development Center, the Environmental Technology Research Institute, attained the top rating in the US ERA’s proficiency testing across all drinking water evaluation categories, including the highest rating in the Water Supply for Drinking Water Proficiency Testing.
Coway announced that it has received halal certification for five of its water purifier models in Indonesia. This certification, issued by the Halal Product Guarantee Management Agency (BPJPH), assures consumers that the purifiers meet Islamic guidelines for permissible products.
Coway Co., Ltd. announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2024, reporting $733 million in revenue, a 5.6% increase from the first quarter of 2023. Operating profit during the quarter was $141.8 million, a 10.3% year-over-year increase.
Coway was selected as the recipient of the Red Dot Design Award for the 18th consecutive year. This year, Coway was recognized for its BEREX Massage Bed in the Health Care Product category.
Coway Co., Ltd. announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2023. Revenue during the fourth quarter of 2023 reached $754 million, down from $768 million in the previous quarter, but up 2.5% year over year. Operating profit during the quarter reached $124 million, up 1.5% year over year, but down from $148.9 million in the third quarter of 2023.
Coway Co., Ltd. received placement on the 2023 Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index, which evaluates companies for their ESG efforts. Of the 609 companies evaluated, 156 were selected. Coway is the only Korean company selected within the Household Durables Industry category.
The Coway Environmental Technology Research Institute has once again been recognized as an international testing laboratory by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme. The accreditation signifies that the lab has been evaluated for its facilities, human resources, organization and adherence to rigorous international testing standards.
Coway Co., Ltd. released its third quarter 2023 financial results, reporting third quarter operating profit of $148.9 million, an 18.3% year-over-year increase, and third quarter revenue of $768 million, a 3.9% increase from the same period last year.
Coway Co., Ltd. improved its environmental grading from the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability from a B+ in 2022 to an A grade. This ranking is assessed by KCGS based on three categories: Environment, Society and Governance.
