Coway announced that it has received halal certification for five of its water purifier models in Indonesia. This certification, issued by the Halal Product Guarantee Management Agency (BPJPH), assures consumers that the purifiers meet Islamic guidelines for permissible products.
The certified models include the Cinnamon (P-6320R), Core (CHP-671R), Ombak (CHP-7310R), Neo Plus (CHP-264L), and Villaem II (CHP-18AR). This certification covers all parts of the water purifier, from pipes to filters, ensuring they comply with halal standards.
This certification is in addition to Coway’s existing halal certification in Malaysia and its Water Quality Association (WQA) Gold Seal Mark, which indicates that all of the company’s water purifier components are made of “very safe materials.”
“The year 2024 marks the fifth year of Coway’s journey in Indonesia, and we will continue to provide innovation through quality products,” said Tony Cho, President Director of Coway Indonesia. “Hopefully, this BPJPH halal certification can increase trust, especially [with] Muslim customers, in Coway’s dedication to improving the quality of life of the community.”
