Coway Co., Ltd. announced the results of its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives in its recent Coway Sustainability Report for FY 2023.
Coway’s environmental goals led the company to launch a waste mattress recovery and recycling system. The company’s efforts were recognized by the Ministry of Environment as an exemplary case of resource circulation in South Korea. The company also established a Scope 3 inventory to measure its generation of greenhouse gases.
Diversity and inclusion efforts included several biodiversity conversation events within the local community, the creation of the Coway MulbitSori Choir for the visually impaired and the promotion of employment opportunities for those with disabilities.
In its Governance sector, Coway developed a system and created guidelines for the appointment of Independent Directors to ensure integrity.
