The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has reached a settlement with Match Group, the owner of online dating platforms Tinder, Hinge, OKCupid, Match.com, Plenty of Fish and more.

In a new survey of 1,500 US shoppers, enterprise commerce platform SCAYLE found that 71% of participants reported feeling “uncomfortable” with certain AI-driven tools used by retailers. Facial recognition was top of mind in these responses, with 32% of shoppers reporting that it made them feel “uneasy.”

The Negative Option Rule was scheduled to go into effect on May 14. The FTC has now deferred enforcement of the Rule through July 2025.

A new LinkedIn Workforce Confidence survey analyzed how each generation feels about pay decreases in the workplace. Predictably, no generation was eager for a cut in wages, but there were caveats to this, including upward mobility.
