USANA released its fourth annual sustainability report, detailing its organizational priorities and the progress it has made toward the company-wide goals set in 2020. This year’s report showed significant sustainability achievements, including a diversion of 65% of its operational waste away from landfills, Good Manufacturing Practices training for 100% of its employees, an investment of $11.4 million in research and development, and the incorporation of How2Recycle smart labeling on its nutritional packaging (in qualified markets).
USANA’s formal stakeholder assessment, which began in 2020, has allowed the company to gather insight on its sustainability performance, priorities, impact and the most significant sustainability issues facing the company.
“Everything we do at USANA revolves around people,” said Paul Jones, USANA Chief People Officer. “From our employees, to those in our global community, to our distributors and customers, it’s the people that make USANA what it is today. I am proud of the work we’ve done engaging with and developing our employees, the impact we’ve had globally through our USANA Foundation and USANA Kids Eat, and for the amazing products and opportunity we provide to our distributors and customers.”
