Avon Products, Inc. recently announced the appointment of Colin Shenoy as vice president for IT Transformation, effective immediately.
Shenoy will report to recently appointed Chief Digital and IT Officer Benedetto Conversano as part of the Digital and IT leadership team. His responsibilities will include designing and implementing a new digital and IT organization for Avon, executing a targeted strategy to transform the company’s IT infrastructure, as well as assessing how Avon can prioritize and better manage business critical projects that will drive the company’s return to growth.
“I am delighted to announce Colin’s appointment to this critical new position,” said Conversano. “He brings valuable expertise and a proven track-record of success implementing change and executing IT transformations across a variety of industries. I am confident in his ability to design and implement a digital and IT organization for Avon that will not only provide the foundation for Avon’s future plans, but act as an enabler of our future growth.”
Shenoy brings over 25 years of experience leading and managing technology and change processes at a variety of significant international corporations, including 15 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. He most recently served as CIO and Global Operations Director for BUPA Global, the international health insurance division of BUPA. Prior to that, he served as CIO of Global Blue, a market leader in tax refund and other retail-related services for international shoppers, and in key business services and application development roles at Reckitt-Benckiser and Procter & Gamble, among others.
“I am excited to join a company that has made technology such a foundational, critical part of its turnaround strategy,” said Colin. “I’m confident in the significant value that can be derived from driving standardization across Avon’s global IT organization, and in building a strong enterprise architecture capability, while also bringing its processes into the modern era. I look forward to hitting the ground running this month alongside Benedetto and the Digital Board.”
