At the 18th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business, QNET Chief Executive Officer Malou Caluza was recognized with the Bronze Stevie Award in the Female Executive of the Year category.
The RYTHM Foundation, QNET’s corporate social responsibility initiative, was recognized by the CSR Times Awards with a Silver Award in the Livelihood category.
Through this collaboration, QNET will plant three new forests of 1,000 trees each in Kenya, UAE and the Philippines.
The project is expected to bring electricity to 470 villagers and solar power to a primary healthcare center serving 23,000 residents. The RYTHM Foundation has initially pledged to support the project for one year.
QNET’s 23rd anniversary festivities began on September 8 with a virtual celebration livestreamed across 50 countries to distributors and customers, followed by the company’s annual convention, V-Convention Connect, which opened to a record-breaking audience of over 500,000 people worldwide.
QNET’s philanthropic arm, RYTHM Foundation, recently collaborated with the ASA Foundation, an education and empowerment NGO that works with local schools and community-based projects to create sustainable behavior change, to develop a sports-based social intervention program. The program is designed to focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) 4 of quality education, for vulnerable youth and adults in Indonesia.
QNET, citing statistics from the International Finance Corporation that states women are now starting businesses at a rate faster than men, and a report by Deloitte that concludes women now own as much as one-third of all enterprises worldwide, explains that in spite of progress, women are still facing significant barriers to entrepreneurship.
QNET was recently honored with six industry awards for innovation in its digital practices and for its social impact initiative, the RYTHM Foundation, which stands for “Raise Yourself to Help Mankind.”
QNET’s European business, known as QN Europe, is now an official member of the Asociación de Empresas de Venta Direct (AVD), the Spanish Direct Selling Association.
