Mary Kay’s philanthropic organization The Mary Kay Ash Foundation celebrated its five-year partnership with Southwestern Medical Center as they endeavor to improve the future of cancer research. Together, the two entities host the International Postdoctoral Scholars in Cancer Research Fellowship program, which is a two-year postdoctoral program hosted at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

The AdvoCare Foundation, AdvoCare’s philanthropic arm, announced its grantee selections for 2023-2024. These grants, totaling $330,000, will be used to improve the wellbeing of children and families who are living in vulnerable communities and will focus on providing access to healthy food, exercise and nutritional education.

Amway’s second annual Amway Cares employee volunteer event welcomed more than 600 Ada-based employees who served for almost 3,800 hours across 28 nonprofit organizations in Kent County. Amway volunteers worked to help in a number of ways, including yard and nature trail cleanup, food preparation and packaging, and workplace organization and maintenance.
