Following the grand opening of a new US headquarters in Allen, Texas, Omnilife announced a new $130 million manufacturing facility in Jalisco. The company’s current plant in El Salto is operating at a reported 94% capacity and employs 650 people who work in three shifts. Between now and 2030, the company expects to gradually reduce the workweek and hire 25 additional staff members to support its production lines.
The company stated that Mexico currently accounts for 60% of its sales. Omnilife also has a strong presence in the United States, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala, Spain and Russia, and expects to end the year with a 6% growth rate.
Operations at the new Jalisco plant are slated to begin within the next four years.
