Oliveda, the parent company of Olive Tree People Inc., announced the debut of the Olive Ecosystem, a beauty platform that connects customers to nature through wearable technology. The unveiling took place at a Venice Beach festival that featured performance artists who turned the Oliveda story into a theatrical experience, paella from Wolfgang Puck and live music from multi-platinum singer-songwriter Christina Perri.
At the center of the company’s new Olive Ecosystem is the Olive Ring, a wearable device that tracks sleep, activity, heart rate and temperature trends through the Olive App. Together, this information connects the wearer to their personal tree and the broader Olive Ecosystem to provide context for skincare recommendations, suggested routines, compatible device experiences and access to tree-connected experiences.
Additionally, the Olive biometric skin scanner combines skin observations with biometric information and regional weather and environmental data to suggest skincare routines based on observations, preferences and environmental conditions. The result, the company says, is a platform designed to make skincare recommendations that are more responsive to each individual customer’s routine and circumstances.
Within the company’s new tree-connected experiences are three categories that include biological light, organic sound and nature-driven microcurrent. With this beauty technology, customers can adjust their skincare behaviors in response to their connection to a living tree. The LED and infrared masks are impacted by tree-derived patterns of light modulation; the Olive Signature provides breathing, humming, stillness and guided practices that bring the personal tree connection into everyday routines; the tree-connected sound and singing-bowl experiences measure tree patterns to shape evolving audio for meditation and personal listening; and the Olive App connects all of the parts, gathering compatible waterless skincare products together with relevant insights and personal routines to support skin health and a physical relationship with nature.
Guests who attended the unveiling ceremony were gathered on the beach for meditation by the Pacific Ocean, guided by sounds generated from measurements of the company’s living olive trees, and a celebration as the company embarks on what it described as the beginning of a new chapter.
