Thirty volunteers from Tranont traveled to Tijuana, Mexico to build homes for local families in need. The effort supports a mission led by Project Mercy, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for impoverished families in Mexico through secure housing.
The philanthropic initiative is part of Tranont’s “Life Where You Live” initiative, designed to help people improve their health, create wealth and leave a lasting impact through service projects where employees and associates live.
This year, Tranont volunteers built three homes, and marks the fourth annual trip for Tranont employees. To date, Tranont volunteers have constructed 11 homes.
“Our Lift Where You Live initiative is all about making a real, lasting difference in the lives of people around the world,” said Tara Higbee, Tranont Vice President of Culture and Community. “Partnering with Project Mercy for the fourth year has been a humbling and life-changing experience for Tranont volunteers. This year, we built three new homes for families in Tijuana, bringing our total to 11 homes. Project Mercy’s mission to uplift impoverished communities aligns perfectly with our goal of positively impacting 1 billion lives.”
