The Direct Selling Association (DSA) hosted its sixth session in its Women’s Entrepreneurship Roundtable Series, this time meeting with Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Davenport, Iowa. Rep. Miller-Meeks met with five direct sellers who shared their personal experiences with the business model and how it has positively impacted their families. Specifically, this group discussed how the direct selling model is portable and creates generational connections while building a business. Representative Miller-Meeks expressed support for these women entrepreneurs, recognizing the empowerment and flexibility that direct selling provides.
“It was a pleasure to sit down with these women entrepreneurs from Iowa’s First Congressional District. Direct selling empowers women to work, have an income and spend time with their family,” said Rep. Miller-Meeks. “I am proud to support these women and thousands more like them in my district.”
