Young Living, through its philanthropic organization, The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation, will be providing a free e-learning course to help families and children safely navigate the challenges of the digital world. “Keeping Kids Safe in the Digital World” was created in partnership with Hope for Justice, an organization that fights human trafficking and helps victims and survivors around the globe, and is designed to equip parents, caregivers and educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to prevent the online exploitation of children.
Included in the free 60-minute course are three modules that use interactive scenarios, real-life stories, data and videos to help younger populations minimize their exposure to risky online interactions and safely navigate social and gaming sites.
“Everyone has the potential to become a child advocate and to safeguard a child against exploitation and human trafficking; but first we need to understand the scope of the problem, the signs of exploitation, and how to respond or even report it,” said Dr. Marin Bryce, Senior Director of Social Responsibility at Young Living. “Our partnership with Hope for Justice will not only educate and empower but also support parents to feel confident about having regular and sometimes difficult conversations with their children about technology use.”
