Grōv Technologies, wholly owned by direct selling company Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc., signed an agreement with Superior Farms, which specializes in raising ranch-to-table American lamb. Under the agreement, ten indoor Olympus Tower Farms will produce 60,000 pounds of Grōv’s High-Density Nutrient Super feed wheatgrass a day using less than 5% of the water, without pesticides or herbicides. Superior Farms expects that this feed will optimize nutrition and environmental conditions during the lambing cycle.
“Our collaboration with Superior showcases how Grōv indoor ag technology can benefit farmers who want to improve production and sustainability, and minimize risk, especially as it relates to drought conditions that plague regions across the world,” said Steve Lindsley, president of Grōv Technologies. “The innovative thinking of Superior Farms is right in line with our efforts to provide feed security for animals and food security for growing populations.”
Superior Farms will also use Grōv’s seasonal lighting technology to improve the productivity of its sheep and develop a more consistent supply of lamb.
