MONAT Gratitude, Inc., the philanthropic movement behind MONAT Global Corp, raised $700,000 during MONATions Impact Week 2020, a virtual event held Sept. 9-13.
Funds were raised through limited-edition product sales, Gratitude shirt sales and Distributor donations totaling $350,000, and the remainder was matched by MONAT. With almost 50,000 attendees tuning in around the world, MONATions Impact Week 2020 was the most successful event to date.
“No one expected 2020 to look like this, but we work on finding silver linings, and can always find a way to give back,” said Stuart MacMillan, president of MONAT Global. “Because we shifted to a virtual event, we were able to reach a much larger audience than we anticipated. In turn, this allowed us to raise the highest dollar amount to date for those in need.”
During the event, MONAT also announced their partnership with Give Back Box® to provide a convenient way to recycle MONAT-branded boxes while giving back to the community. Customers can fill empty boxes with donations of gently used clothing, jewelry, or other household items and ship them via a pre-paid shipping label. The boxes will be delivered to Give Back Box nonprofit partners in support of their missions.
Money raised during Impact Week will benefit the following organizations:
- Broward Partnership for the Homeless
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta
- The Salvation Army
- Big Brothers Big Sisters
- The Toy Project
- SOS Children’s Villages
“Gratitude is deeply ingrained in MONAT’s culture, and it’s the guiding principle of everything we do,” said Lu Urdaneta, MONAT’s chief culture officer. “This year’s goal was to raise $250,000, which was over triple last year’s goal of $80,000. We are so proud that MONAT Gratitude exceeded our goal and donated to nonprofits around the world.”
Also, a group of 10 MONAT Directors who attended MONAT Elite 2020 in early October raised nearly $20,000, which was donated to provide educational resources to a local school in Bora Bora.
MONAT Gratitude has been an integral part of the MONAT Global company culture since its inception in 2014. The values of gratitude and giving back have always been a high priority for the MONAT team. Today, the organization focuses its giving efforts in three impact areas: families, children and education.
