Amway has invested $15 million in the redesign of a 9,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that will produce the first exclusively sugar-free energy drink brand sold globally.
“This is Amway’s first carbonated beverage plant in Ada,” said Amway Vice President of Global Manufacturing Brian Kraus. “Investing in our facilities, diversifying our manufacturing capabilities and training our employees to learn new skills is all happening here at Amway.”
The new plant will manufacture XS Energy Drinks for the United States, Canada and Latin America.
“This investment also reflects a commitment from Amway to the energy drink market, expected to reach $86 billion globally by 2026,” said Amway Chief Digital and Marketing Officer Giusy Buonfantino. “XS is all about active living, fitness and adventure. There is so much ahead for XS, and we want to make sure every Amway Business Owner has the right products to earn and maintain happy, loyal customers.”
In August, Amway received a Manufacturing Leadership Award from the National Association of Manufacturers for its workforce program called “One Team,” designed to enhance collaboration and provide career development programs and skill building opportunities for employees.
“In part thanks to the One Team program, employees who work in the new XS Energy Drink plant will learn all aspects of beverage manufacturing and develop new skills,” said Kraus.
XS Energy Drinks are sold in nearly 60 countries globally exclusively by Amway Business Owners.
