Over 1,500 MONAT Market Partners and Employees around the world hosted events to celebrate the fifth-annual Gratitude Week.
This December, MONAT Gratitude, the philanthropic movement behind MONAT Global Corp (MONAT), hosted its fifth-annual Gratitude Week by impacting local communities around the world. Over 1,500 Market Partners and employees of the Miami-based company joined forces around the globe by organizing and hosting efforts to benefit local non-profits or spread gratitude in communities throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and, for the first time, Ireland and Poland.
One of the largest efforts that took place during Gratitude Week was a holiday lunch at Miami-based Lotus House, an organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of homeless women, youth and children. The MONAT team transformed the dining area into a fine dining experience and served over 200 women that live in the shelter. Guests enjoyed live music and a gourmet menu prepared by Recipes for Change, and they each received two products from the MONAT Skincare line.
Other events include:
- Wrapping presents with The Toy Project
- Tutoring, sport program and pizza party with The Home Team
- Snacks & Ladders Game Night with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Canada
- Local Market Partner volunteering at the Miami Salvation Army
- Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring at Corporate offices
- Poland Launch Event: Toy collection in Warsaw
- Ireland Launch Event: Toy collection in Dublin
The first Gratitude Week took place five years ago when Sr. Luis Urdaneta, chairman and co-founder of MONAT, asked that, in celebration of his birthday, everyone take action and make a positive impact in their community. Each year, the event takes place during the first week of December, and it has quickly become one of MONAT Gratitude’s signature events.
“Gratitude Week is the most beautiful week of the year for us because it shows what MONAT is really about: making a positive impact. Each year, we challenge ourselves to impact more communities than the last,” said Lu Urdaneta, Chief Culture Officer. “Our Market Partners have shown their creativity and willingness to help others by organizing efforts and putting their plans into action.”
MONAT Gratitude has been an integral part of the MONAT Global company culture since its inception in 2014.
