The Direct Selling Association (DSA) announced Dave Grimaldi has been named Chief Executive Officer. Grimaldi has held roles within the federal government, serving as Senior Counsel for the Office of Majority Whip Jim Clyburn and Chief of Staff to FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn, as well as executive positions where he led policy for the Interactive Advertising Bureau and government relations for the Blockchain Association.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dave Grimaldi as the new CEO of DSA,” said Danny Lee, DSA Board Chairman and President and CEO of 4Life. “Dave’s well-rounded experience, including his work in Congress, with federal agencies and in multiple trade associations, has positioned him as a transformative advocacy leader. His well-established connections and deep respect on Capitol Hill, combined with his relentless work ethic and unique skillset, will undoubtedly elevate the DSA’s advocacy efforts to unprecedented levels. We are confident that Dave will bring a dynamic vision and unwavering commitment to advancing the interests of the direct selling community across the United States.”
“I am honored to serve as the next CEO of the Direct Selling Association,” said Grimaldi. “It is a privilege to have the opportunity to help shape the future for millions of entrepreneurs by working with direct selling companies that sell well-loved products to global markets. I look forward to jumping in, engaging with our members—and the broader direct selling community—and charting a path forward for the industry in Washington.”
Grimaldi succeeds Joseph N. Mariano, who will retire after more than four decades of service.
