Natura announced a significant transition in its executive leadership roles. João Paulo Ferreira, who has served as Chief Executive Officer for ten years, will step down from the role at the end of September. Succeeding him is Alessandro Carlucci, who has been a member of the board of directors since 2025 and previously led as Chairman. Carlucci served as Natura’s CEO from 2005 to 2014 and has been an executive with the company for 25 years. Fábio Barbosa, who has been serving on the company’s Advisory Board, will now return as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The company described the transition as a milestone that marks “the end of a pivotal operational consolidation period during which Natura implemented fundamental changes to pave the way for future growth.” During the last decade, Ferreira led the company into an omnichannel entity, expanded its footprint across Spanish-speaking markets and tripled revenue.

“I am closing a chapter that fills me with immense pride, and the company’s achievements are the result of collective effort,” Ferreira said. “I am deeply grateful to everyone who builds this incredible network of purpose and connection that is Natura. Over this period, Natura became the beauty leader in Latin America while maintaining financial strength despite global and market volatility.”

Natura expects its simplified corporate structure to drive smooth transitions across cycles, and for its recent refreshment of the composition of its board to support modernization of the company’s operating model. Carlucci stated that the company’s focus will now be on accelerating the execution of its current strategy.

“We have recently rebuilt the company’s foundations, and the path is now clear for a new cycle of expansion,” Ferreira said. “We believe this is the right moment for a leadership renewal and for embracing a fresh perspective centered on growth and opportunity added.”
