Coral Club, a Canadian wellness company, announced an AI-powered pilot program for its Romanian market. The company’s in-house multilingual assistant, called Coral AI, will now be paired with tailored human support to build a personal routine for customers from the company’s catalog of more than 200 products in less than a minute, then build a subscription plan to create an ongoing pattern of purchasing behavior and lifestyle changes.
While Coral Club says Romania has a low adoption rate for AI, the company is “betting the trend can turn,” and expects its pilot program to combat the decision fatigue that comes from an overwhelm of products and lack of clarity for how those products can fit into daily life. The goal will be fewer “wrong-fit purchases” and a subscription that matches customers’ lifestyles.
“We see shelves crowded with food supplements, independent advice that can be patchy and one-on-one nutrition consultations that have become expansive enough so people simply guess what they need,” said Cristian Constantin, Coral Club Central Europe Division Director. “Most companies bolt a chatbot onto their site and call it AI strategy. We asked a harder question: what gets someone from confused in front of hundreds products to confident in their routine — the answer wasn’t AI or a person, it was both. Romania tells us if we got that order right before we take it anywhere else.”
Through this new program, customers can choose from a monthly or quarterly cycle, have the ability to pause their subscription or swap products, adjust frequency and cancel at any time. Additionally, customers will receive discounts of up to 40% and an ongoing relationship with a consultant who provides human support for purchasing questions.
Coral Club stated it will track subscription uptake, repeat orders, retention and customer satisfaction through the end of the year before debuting the program in additional markets.
