Beauty Society is doing its part to reduce packaging waste. Today, April 1st, the company launched an annual National Refill Day to raise awareness about the environmental benefits of refillable beauty products. The company has been offering refillable and recyclable packaging across its product lines for more than two decades and hosts a sustainability program, Treasure Not Trash, to cut down on single-use waste.

“It makes me happy to see refills starting to become popular, but it’s not enough,” said Jeannie Lorin, Beauty Society Founder and CEO. “It’s about challenging our industry to do better. Every refill matters. Every tree counts.”
To participate, Beauty Society encourages people to switch to refillable or recyclable products, educate themselves on the impact of single-use packaging, support companies committed to long-term sustainability and then share their sustainable habits using the hashtag #NationalRefillDay.
For every refill sold, Beauty Society will plant one tree through its partnership with Eden People + Planet, which works to restore ecosystems and create fair-wage jobs in local communities.
