Herbalife and the LA Galaxy announced a continuation of their partnership with the Garden School Foundation through their Joint Community Partnership Fund. This year, the fund granted $45,000 to support the Garden School Foundation’s Seed to Table Program at Leapwood and Annalee Avenue Elementary Schools, which provides garden-based nutrition education for hundreds of students living in underserved communities. This partnership also serves to help students understand where food comes from and the connection between healthy eating and community health, as well as environmental stewardship and the results of a healthy environment.
Herbalife and the LA Galaxy have partnered with the Garden School Foundation since 2018. Since then, the program has reached more than 1,000 students and invested more than $380,000.
“We are proud to continue fulfilling our company’s commitment to giving back and inspiring healthy lives worldwide and in our very own community through our partnership with the LA Galaxy,” said Ibi Montesino, Herbalife North America Managing Director. “Growing, harvesting, cooking and eating healthy foods with their peers, through the Seed to Table Program, enables kids to have fun while learning healthy nutrition habits that will stay with them as they get older.”
