Foundation 4Life, 4Life’s philanthropic arm, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony in the Philippines for a village that will carry the 4Life name. In partnership with Gawad Kalinga (GK) Foundation, the two entities will provide 20 houses built by 4Life Philippines affiliates and staff, along with the future homeowners.
The GK Foundation has a goal of building 20,000 barangays (villages) to help impoverished families in the area and is supported by aid from donors and the local government. Foundation 4Life Philippines has been a part of this effort, donating approximately $85,000 last month with the hope of raising an additional $17,000 to fund this new 4Life village.
“This groundbreaking ceremony is the start of a major Foundation 4Life activity here in the Philippines,” said Eileen Tan-Dario, 4Life General Manager. “We sincerely hope that our Affiliates join us in our drive to ‘Be like Bianca’ by participating in our fundraising activity to reach one million pesos in donations. We dedicate the 4Life village to our dear Bianca.”
