Young Living, through its philanthropic organization the Young Living Foundation, announced an initiative to raise $1 million in 30 days to support the thousands of people suffering in the wake of the devastating wildfires in Lahaina, Maui.
Young Living distributor Richard Brooke, who lives ten miles from Lahaina, described the area of devastation as the port of call that is a lifeline to food, supplies and services, and that the need for support is dire.
“These people are our friends and ohana,” Brooke said. “Our entire island is mobilized to move supplies and funds to our family for however long it takes for them to get back on their feet.”
Young Living states 100% of the donations, with zero processing fees, will be donated to the Maui Strong Fund at The Hawaii Community Foundation, a boots-on-the-ground operation that is working in the impact zone.
Donations can be made through the Young Living Foundation website.
