The Hinode Group announced its plans for future international expansion, including Chile and Paraguay before the end of 2021. The company already has a strong Latin American presence, with operations in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.
“Our plan is to be present in 30 countries by 2030, as sales in our international markets grew by 50% from 2019 to 2020, reaching 27% of total revenue last year and closing the year at R$ 1.6 billion,” says CEO Marília Rocca. “For 2021, the expectation for our international markets is to reach 35% of global revenue, which should be R$ 1.9 billion.”
The company exceeded 40 million products sold in 2020, or a product sold every two seconds, and has invested heavily in technology, process optimization, e-commerce expansion and an interactive digital catalog. Also in 2020, the company hired six executives with the plan to hire 100 new professionals in the first half of 2021.
“Several initiatives were taken in the midst of the pandemic to break all the lockdown barriers encountered along the way, so that consultants would be able to maintain and even overcome the pace of sales,” explains Rocca. “We have also expanded our partnership with Getnet, which already offers payment terminals for face-to-face sales, and allowed non-face-to-face transactions with a payment link. All of this has enabled us to simultaneously launch our first global product in the six countries where we operate.”
