Look Good Feel Better® (LGFB) recently welcomed Mary Kay Cosmetics Ltd. General Manager Lynda Rose as Chair of the Board of Directors.
LGFB is dedicated to helping women and teens manage the appearance-related effects of cancer and its treatment, and Rose has been a supporter of the organization since its inception.
“LGFB has a history of very strong leadership and I am honored to take the helm from past-Chair John Coyne,” said Rose. “John has led the organization through a period of remarkable transformation with true conviction and commitment. I’m looking forward to what we can accomplish next to ensure the ongoing success of LGFB.”
Under Rose, the organization will focus on increasing its impact for even more women facing cancer.
LGFB has a special place in Mary Kay history. Sharon Coburn, one of Mary Kay’s top sales directors, was part of the original team who brought Look Good Feel Better® to Canada. Today, Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants make up 50 percent of the LGFB volunteer team, demonstrating the unwavering support of one of Mary Kay’s overall philanthropic goals: to help women affected by cancer.
Transforming the lives of women in Canada and across the world is important to Rose. “LGFB is in my heart and soul,” she said. “We are empowering women with greater information to help them feel like themselves again. We started this more than 25 years ago as an industry and we must continue. It’s a responsibility that we all share. Together, we are changing lives for women with cancer.”
