Drs. Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields were among 24 self-made billionaires appearing on Forbes recently released annual list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women.
The Rodan + Fields founders tied at #13 with a net worth of $1.5 billion. The 60 women on the list, led by ABC Supply cofounder and chairman Diane Hendricks with $4.9 billion, have a record combined net worth of $71 billion, up 15 percent from $61.5 billion in 2017.
In April, Rodan + Fields was ranked the No. 1 skincare brand in North America and the No. 1 skincare brand in the U.S. in 2017. The San Francisco-based dermatologists, who co-created the acne treatment Proactiv, launched their eponymous skincare brand in 2008.
Other women on the list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women include media mogul Oprah Winfrey (#6), Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg (#12) and music legend Celine Dion (#46).
