S3, E42: Articles from the July/August/September 2026 issue Direct Selling News
In this podcast, we share articles straight from the pages of the July/August/September edition of Direct Selling News. This episode explores two stories about the strategies, leadership and ideas generating momentum in direct selling today. First, one of DSN’s most popular podcasts is entering a new chapter. After nearly 100 episodes, Shift is becoming What’s Working in Direct Selling, hosted by industry coach, consultant and author Rob Sperry.
The new format will give field leaders, distributors and executives access to practical strategies from across the channel, with each conversation focused on specific ideas listeners can implement immediately.
Then, we spotlight Beneve, a fast-growing wellness company founded by direct selling veterans Judy Willodson and Ken Eggleston. Built “different, on purpose,” Beneve is challenging traditional industry practices with an inverted financial model that allocates 65 percent to the field, an Influencer Bill of Rights designed to protect its entrepreneurs and a servant leadership philosophy that keeps its founder closely connected to the field.
That approach has accompanied significant growth. Beneve generated $3 million in its first year, $18.4 million in its second and $34.5 million in its third. Today, the company has more than 10,000 Independent Influencers and nearly 160,000 customers, with a long-term vision of becoming a billion-dollar-a-year company.
