Plexus Worldwide announced that Chris Reid, Vice President of Compliance and General Counsel, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), a trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry.
Members of the CRN not only comply with federal and state regulations governing dietary supplements, but also agree to additional guidelines that make up the CRN’s Code of Ethics.
“I am honored to be a member of the Board of Directors for a group focused on developing good policies and complying with federal and state regulations,” Reid said. “CRN is the leader of dietary supplements and functional foods industry, working into the areas of manufacturing, quality control, and safety. This organization and its members have a tremendous grasp on the industry, bringing best in class knowledge to uphold and improve the marketplace for consumers.”
Reid brings more than three decades of experience in banking, general counsel and compliance within the direct selling industry, with an emphasis on FDA, advertising, intellectual property and transactional law. In his role with Plexus, Reid provides counsel to the company’s distributors and corporate teams, while leading and monitoring the organization’s legal and regulatory affairs and compliance. His role with CRN will provide leadership, guidance and oversight for the organization while working closely with CRN staff to develop the association’s strategic priorities for the year.
