Sunrider International announced it will expand its philanthropic partnership with Engage Now Africa (ENA), a nonprofit committed to empowering vulnerable communities in Africa. Sunrider has been engaged with ENA for four years and was a critical donor in the recent completion of the Atiyorum Community Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound in Ghana’s Upper West Region, a facility that will provide healthcare to more than 17,000 people across seven communities. CHPS offers services to support maternal care, child health, the treatment of illnesses and community well-being, and will feature a delivery room, on-site living spaces for CHPS staff, a dispensary and treatment rooms for wound care and immunizations.
“Our partnership with Engage Now Africa truly reflects Sunrider’s deep commitment to creating lasting change in the communities that need it most,” said Sunny Beutler, Sunrider International CEO. “We are proud to play a key role in completing the Atiyorum Community Health Compound Facility, ensuring that tens of thousands of people will have access to the critical healthcare services they deserve.”
The company’s charitable collaboration with ENA also enabled the construction of the Wonber Maternal Health Center, which delivers essential care to more than 30,000 women and children each year, in 2021.
