Ruby Ribbon, a women’s intimates, shapewear and athleisure company, has been issued a US patent for the first time in company history. The patent (US Patent No. 10,993,482) is the first of two patents for the company’s top-selling Sport Demiette line.
The brand’s now patented construction, designed by Ruby Ribbon’s lead designer Cami Raymond, features a supportive sling construction with underwire-free molded cups in the bust and formed with bonded panels in between as well as on the back.
“Ruby Ribbon’s future product strategy will look to leverage our brand roots, owned IP and expertise in shapewear,” said Loly Hlade, Ruby Ribbon’s Chief Brand Officer. “As we expand into new categories outside of our brand signature camis and demiettes, we will use this owned IP and unique technologies to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace.”
