Ambit Energy is helping those affected by Hurricane Hanna, the first hurricane of 2020.
On July 25, Hurricane Hanna hit the Gulf Coast of Texas, resulting in flash floods, downed power lines and damage to homes and businesses in 32 counties, including many that were already struggling with the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak.
To help those affected by the damage, Ambit Cares, Ambit Energy’s nonprofit organization dedicated to relieving hunger in America, has donated $5,000 to Feeding America®, the nation’s largest organization dedicated to fighting domestic hunger through a network of food banks. Through their efforts, the funds will go directly to providing vitally needed food to those who have been affected by flooding and power outages.
“Ambit Energy, through its Ambit Cares nonprofit affiliate, is dedicated to supporting people who live and work in the communities we serve,” said Anna Batman, program director of Ambit Cares. “Additionally, Ambit is offering payment flexibility to those affected by Hanna as well as information and resources on our Hurricane Hanna resource webpage.”
Ambit also continues to offer COVID-19 assistance to any customer who needs it and Ambit Cares’ latest donation follows a $50,000 donation to Feeding America to provide relief to those affected by the pandemic.
