In remembrance of the tragic events of September 11th, Sunrider International employees donated their time and energy to serve others. In Los Angeles and Dallas, where the company has offices, Sunrider employees formed two teams and joined local volunteers in their efforts to pack meals and distribute them to those in need throughout their communities.
Employees and volunteers not local to these offices also had the opportunity to participate virtually by sharing their acts of service on social media using the hashtag #IWillFor911Day.
The “9/11 Day Meal Pack” project that Sunrider actively participated in is part of a nationwide volunteer effort that works in collaboration with AmeriCorps and Feeding America-affiliated food banks and other hunger relief organizations. Together, the project aims to provide 8 million meals to Americans facing hunger. Sunrider employees and volunteers donated 20,000 hours toward this mission.
“Sunrider and our team are honored to support and participate in 9/11 Day this year,” said Sunny Beutler, Sunrider International CEO. “It’s crucial that we never forget those we lost and those impacted by the tragedy. By coming together in unity each 9/11, we can pay tribute and make a meaningful difference for those most vulnerable in our communities.”
