Following a lengthy product approval process, Youngevity International is looking to ramp up business in Russia with the introduction of its core line of nutrition products, 90 for Life.
The California-based company launched its Russian subsidiary in July 2014 and opened an office in Moscow four months later. Working with the Ministry of Health, Youngevity previously obtained approvals to market health and beauty products, essential oils, coffees, a weight-loss program and more of its diverse offerings.
Due to the high concentration of ingredients in 90 for Life—named for the 90 essential nutrients present in its three core products—approval to market the flagship line has been slow in coming.
90 for Life is key to driving consumption of the company’s other offerings, according to Ricardo Spilman, Director of Sales and Operations for Eastern Europe & Israel. “This is a very exciting time for Youngevity Russia. We now have our core product approvals, which is what we need to penetrate the market.”
