Outside magazine has named Salt Lake City-based USANA Health Sciences to its annual list of “The 100 Best Places to Work.” In its fifth consecutive year on the list, the health and nutrition company holds the No. 18 spot.
The list highlights innovative companies that cultivate work-life balance among their employees and boast a healthy, active staff. The ranking also reflects office culture, a focus on giving back, and perks available to employees.
USANA’s unique corporate culture includes company-sponsored intramural sports, fun runs, and Tuesday massages. A major perk is the company’s onsite gym, where USANA’s 650+ employees have access to CrossFit classes, a rock wall, and a personal trainer. Not surprisingly, Greatist voted USANA one of the healthiest places to work in 2012.
The company’s focus on health extends to The USANA True Health Foundation, which seeks to relieve suffering around the world by providing critical necessities such as nutrition, clothing, shelter and medical assistance. These and other factors landed the No. 20 direct seller in the world a spot among the top 20 Best Places to Work.
“Earning this title demonstrates that USANA really lives by its motto—helping you love life and live it—and works tirelessly to create a positive and engaging work environment for its employees,” said Kevin Guest, USANA’s President of the Americas, Europe and South Pacific.
