The Thai Direct Selling Association (TDSA) recently held a grand gala, “A Night of Brilliant Success,” to honor the nation’s best direct sellers for 2011. The unprecedented event, created by the TDSA, was attended by more than 2,000 people, including direct sellers, CEOs and Associates from member companies, government officers and members of the press.
Held at the Impact Arena Convention Centre in Bangkok, the event recognized 91 best sellers from 24 member companies who exemplify the best practices of direct selling and serve as role models to Representatives in Thailand.
Itthisak Ampanyuth, President of Thai Direct Association, opened the program by stating that, “The purpose of this event is for the stimulation of being the ONE in the direct selling business and the passion in working. To show potentiality, the empowerment and the engagement among company members and to support them and all direct sellers to adhere to the business ethics—and to recognize the best direct sellers who achieve their goals in the path of direct selling business.”
The event began with a best direct sellers Hall of Fame, product displays of member companies and exhibition booths. The formal dinner event, held in the grand ballroom, included an opening dance and the presentation of awards. Honorees received their trophies from the Chairman of the event, Nirot Chareonprakob, Secretary-General to the Consumer Protection Board. The event also recognized the media for its support of the TDSA.
Could this type of event be the beginning of what we might see from more DSAs around the globe?
