Plexus Worldwide, a Scottsdale, Arizona–based health and wellness company, has named Susie Rockway, Ph.D., as Chief Science Officer. Rockway will be responsible for research and development, product innovation, claims substantiation and medical affairs.
“Dr. Rockway is a well-known and respected nutritional scientist who remains active in academic research, contributing to numerous journals and publications,” said Chief Marketing Officer Cindy Latham. “We’re thrilled to have her join Plexus and confident adding an expert of Dr. Rockway’s stature will help our company facilitate the success of scientifically validated product launches. She also will build our first Scientific Advisory Board, working with renowned collaborators to support our marketing initiatives and demonstrate the efficacy of Plexus products.”
Rockway has more than 25 years of experience in nutrition science, leading product development and regulatory affairs. Most recently, she generated $30 million in first-year sales for Capital Brands as the vice president of research and development, nutritional foods division. Before that, Rockway was recruited from Rush University, where she was a professor in clinical nutrition, to be the director of research and science for another direct selling company.

Rockway received her fellowship training from the University of Chicago’s Department of Medicine after earning her Ph.D. in nutritional science and M.S. in agricultural-biochemistry and nutrition from the University of Arizona. She is a member of the American Society for Nutrition, Fellow of the American College of Nutrition, Institute of Food Technology and a Certified Nutrition Specialist.
