Dallas, Texas-based Mary Kay announced that the company is setting a goal of 1 million hours of community service in honor of International Women’s Day, which was commemorated on March 8.
The Mary Kay Global Month of Service will enlist company employees, consultants and friends in 35 countries to assist those in need around the globe, including victims of domestic violence, orphans, the elderly and disadvantaged children. The program will run from March 8 through April 8.
“At Mary Kay, giving back and having a positive impact in our local communities is part of our organization’s DNA,” said Sheryl Adkins-Green, Executive Vice President of Mary Kay. “We call it ‘Go-Give’ spirit, and we’re proud to continue our legacy of giving through the Mary Kay Global Month of Service.”
