Dr. Beth Lange, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer
Consumer Goods Technology (CGT) magazine has named Mary Kay’s Dr. Beth Lange to its annual list of Consumer Goods Visionaries. As Chief Scientific Officer at Mary Kay, Lange represents the company’s Research and Development group and helms its Global Product Development, Quality, Medical Affairs and Regulatory Affairs departments.
Consumer Goods Visionaries are selected not only for their success in transforming key sectors of the business, but also for their highly collaborative approach to facilitating change. Mary Kay’s global markets account for 70 percent of the company’s revenue, and Lange has been instrumental in developing those markets. Under her leadership, Mary Kay’s product development team has reevaluated product lines in all of the company’s 35 markets and refined a global new product strategy.
Lange’s visionary approach extends to people as well as products. Looking to further expansion, she is strengthening the company’s global R&D team with the expertise and highly technical talent necessary to facilitate growth.
As Mary Kay celebrates 50 years in business, the iconic beauty brand is already seeing positive growth. The company reported record sales after kicking off its golden anniversary celebrations with the first-ever Mary Kay Global Makeover Day in March. At events across 24 international markets, almost 50,000 women received Mary Kay makeovers—setting a record for the most ever logged in one day.
