Mary Kay Inc. participated in a virtual learning exchange called “Women Leaders Protecting the Coral Triangle’s Threatened Biodiversity and Endangered Species.” This event highlighted innovations and actions by women leaders who are working to protect marine biodiversity across the Coral Triangle through resource management and ocean protection.
Participation in this event is a continuation of the company’s sustainability and conservation efforts that highlight gender equality and economic empowerment for women at the community level. Previously, Mary Kay has also partnered with organizations in Papua New Guinea to protect the mangrove ecosystem and the Solomon Islands to provide training in leadership, financial literacy and gender training for park rangers that might exclude women from park involvement.
