Major League Soccer’s LA Galaxy and nutrition company Herbalife, the team’s official sponsor, are showing soccer fans what it means to “Be A Pro” with a new short-form, documentary-style web series. The series will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the game and the athletes who play it.
“Be A Pro” features Omar Gonzalez, Marcelo Sarvas, Jaime Penedo and other peak performers on the four-time Cup champion Galaxy team. The content explores the physical and mental demands of the game, focusing on soccer while seeking to broaden the conversation around fitness and nutrition.
“As a global nutrition company, it is our mission to educate as many people as possible as to the benefits of leading a healthy and active life, and the sport of soccer is the perfect vehicle for relaying this message worldwide,” said Rob Levy, Herbalife Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing.
Herbalife, which signed a record 10-year extension of its partnership with the Galaxy last year, serves as the team’s official jersey sponsor and nutrition partner. The eight-episode series represents the latest collaboration between the organizations.
