The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Avon has approached Mindy Grossman, CEO of HSN, Inc., to replace Andrea Jung as Avon’s CEO.
Grossman, 53, has served as CEO of HSN since August 2008, when the company was spun off from IAC Retailing. She has garnered much praise for the upscale image she has given to the home-shopping network, a $3 billion interactive multi-channel retailer with strong direct-to-consumer expertise.
Prior to HSN, Grossman served in executive positions with Nike, Inc., Polo Jeans Company, Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation and Tommy Hilfiger. She currently serves on the board of directors at the National Retail Federation and the board of Cosmetic Executive Women.
