Belcorp International, which placed 10th on the 2011 DSN Global 100 ranking of the top direct selling companies in the world, was recently recognized by the renowned organization Best Place to Work® as one of the Top 25 best multinationals to work at in Latin America.
The company, which develops and sells products in skin care, fragrance, makeup, body care and hair care through a network of 850,000 Independent Distributors across the Americas, ranked 12th in the “Best Multinationals to Work in Latin America 2012” category. Other winners in the category were multinational giants Kimberly-Clark, Microsoft and Oracle. Belcorp was the only beauty and cosmetics multinational company to make the list.
The award was accepted by Mona Ameli, Director General of Belcorp in the United States, who credited Founder, President and CEO Eduardo Belmont for creating “a very successful multinational beauty company while maintaining a family culture of care, respect, trust, nurture and continued growth of the employees at all levels throughout the organization.”
In order to qualify for the Best Place to Work recognition, multinationals must have at least 1,000 employees worldwide, been recognized in at least three Latin American countries as part of the Best Place to Work in the prior year, and have at least 40 percent of their employees work outside their main headquarters. Once qualified, companies go through a rigorous evaluation called Trust Index© and Culture Audit©, which consists of employees interviews, questionnaires and a review of a company’s programs, policies and practices.
